Joe rolled over and woke up, remembering the dream. The red rope and Rahab’s faith in the living God had saved her and her family, just as the blood of Jesus saves anyone who wants to be saved from eternal death.

He dozed again, and snatches of his dream repeated, but this time he marched around a walled castle. Inside, he saw his parents working on the wall. He marched and marched and marched, expecting the wall to tumble.

Joe woke screaming, “The Lord has given us the victory!”

Uncle Faulkner and Aunt Anna appeared at the foot of his bed.

He looked at them, tears on his cheeks.

Anna had tears in her eyes, too, but Faulkner’s face was livid. “I’m going to get you an appointment with a psychiatrist today!” he said, shaking Joe to be sure he was awake.

Embarrassed, Joe turned and hid his face.
